The reason is that despite how much cringe there is, there are genuinely comical moments. It's like there were two different authors working on the script and one had a great sense of humor while the other had a horrible sense of humor. It's almost as if two different writers were coming up with jokes and gags. The story seems like there is something there, but possibly just nothing. It's quite bland on it's own and very cliche. This is good, but all the surrounding narrative to the premise is a bit all over the place. The first two episodes are paced well, but the third and fourth are a mess. Now going through the show these are the things I've noticed; it has a really bad control of atmosphere, the emotions presented are all over the place with some scenes suddenly becoming comedic during an intense scene or vice versa. Apr 21, 2021 Sazy11 Recommended This anime fits right into my kind of show. It has a super-strong main character along with all the females falling for him. The storyline isn't the best, but they make up for that with really enjoyable scenes. Although, I hope there will be a bigger plot to follow in the coming episodes. The main character is portrayed as super strong and unique, as all the females love his personality. However, I wished that he would beat his opponents more easily (as in the arm wrestle), as the whole idea of the story is having an overpowered character. Where can I find more like this?! At first it seemed like isekai One Punch Man with a bit more oblivious MC, mixed with goofieness of animes like Konosuba. Then it surprised with a really good mix of comedy and serious subplots in first episodes. The best comparison of the plot of this show (that I've seen) is "Wise Man's Grandchild", which is a show that wasn't great but that I still enjoyed overall for what it was. The first episode was very interesting, especially with the introductions of many quirky characters, but that's about as good as it's going to get.
